Lettings
Airbnb without handing over keys
Published on October 10, 2026
Waiting for a guest who is running late, or leaving a key under the mat: there is a better way. Your guest lets themselves in, and you can see that it worked.
Two ways
A smart lock on the door. Your guest opens with a code on the Lunvik Keypad, or you open remotely with the Lunvik Bridge.
A key box next to the door. The ordinary key sits in the Lunvik Keybox. Your guest opens the box with a code. That is useful if you do not want to replace the lock, or are not allowed to.
Access that ends by itself
In the Lunvik app you give temporary access. Once your guest has left, it stops working. You do not have to ask for keys back, and if a key goes missing you do not have to replace a lock.
See what happens
With the Bridge you get a notification when your guest arrives, and you can see it in the log. If someone still ends up in front of a closed door, you open it from your phone.
Things to check
- Explain in your welcome message how the lock or the key box works.
- Test the access yourself before the first guest arrives.
- Check the rules for letting in your municipality and in your building.
The Lunvik Host set contains the Keybox and the Bridge, at a lower price together.
